Medical Center North Hills – Boiler Replacement

North Richland Hills, TX

Complex health care infrastructure upgrades are one of our key project types. Our partnership with HCA Healthcare and their engineering teams allows Certus to bring value to their existing aging facilities across the State of Texas. The Medical City North Hills Boiler Replacement Project is a perfect example. The project scope includes the removal and replacement of the existing, aged steam boilers and associated feedwater systems with smaller, high efficiency steam boilers. It also includes replacement of the existing heating hot water boilers and related pumping systems. Certus was engaged for our expertise and strategic planning capabilities required for this type of project. Multi-phased removal and replacement and planning, including temporary services, presents unique challenges and requires a systematic approach to maintain continued operation of the steam and heating hot water plant supporting the fully functional hospital during the course of the construction. With the project completed early in the fourth quarter, the Hospital began to realize the energy savings and reliability in time for the next heating season and years to come.
