Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Lake Pointe – Sterile Processing Department Upgrade

The project scope included expansion of the existing sterile processing department along with upgrading most of the existing equipment within including washers, sterilizers, and new decontamination processing sinks. Upgrading the sterilization equipment also necessitated modifications to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to support the new, more advanced technology. Certus played a key role in coordinating these infrastructure upgrades, ensuring that all new equipment was seamlessly integrated into the existing hospital environment while meeting stringent regulatory and infection control requirements. Infrastructure was also put in place to power a temporary SPD mobile unit to allow for uninterrupted operations in this essential department throughout the course of construction.
