The new Hybrid OR 10 at the BSWH Heart Hospital in Plano combines the functionality of a traditional operating room with advanced imaging technology. The project involved the finish-out of a shelled space to accommodate the hybrid OR equipment with new MEP infrastructure including electrical isolation panels, HEPA filtration, and a custom floor pedestal with integrated medical gases and power systems. Rooms of this complexity house a significant amount of technology which demands meticulous attention to detail. The coordination between multiple equipment vendors is paramount to ensure the seamless integration of critical components including; booms, video integration systems, imaging capture technology, and advanced lighting controls which features both color-changing capabilities and hands-free foot control, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of the surgical environment. Certus played a vital role in the coordination efforts and meticulously documenting all of the technical requirements. Our comprehensive approach ensures that construction can proceed smoothly, minimizing surprises and delays.
